NSW HIA Housing Awards 2013 - Kitchen & Bathroom Winners - MINOSA

At the Gala Sydney event Minosa received further recognition for the Loombah Project. A Great night was had by all with the highlights being Marcia Hinds & the Winning Appliances photo booth....as you can see below it was not only fun but it produced some great photos!

Minosa Celebrate at HIA CSR NSW Housing Awards
Minosa Design celebrated their success at the 2013 HIA CSR NSW Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards on Saturday night.

Minosa Design, the Alexandria based company won the Bathroom Design category (partnered by Caroma) and the Kitchen Design category (partnered by Smeg Australia) for their Dover Heights project.

Minosa Pty Ltd, in conjunction with Panache Kitchens, won the Large Kitchen over 15 sqm category and ultimately the Kitchen of the Year Award (partnered by Winning Appliances) for their Dover Heights project.

The Judges said, “This bathroom project was a stunning ensuite retreat that ticks all the boxes. An exquisite choice of materials and colours were used to create a harmonious and well balanced bathroom and the design was cutting edge incorporating the natural beauty of the cliff face and views. In a few words... SHOW STOPPER!”.

Referring to the Kitchen project, the Judges said, “A stunning design executed in exceptional fashion and difficulties were overcome with ingenuity. Choice of materials such as the timber veneer and finishes created a warm but contemporary environment. A high tech kitchen, however the use of timber veneer gave the space a sense of warmth. Simple and geometrical lines, pull out cabinets and simplicity of design – all perfect. This kitchen project was a well-proportioned and attractive kitchen with an outstanding design executed in exceptional fashion and difficulties were overcome with ingenuity. A stunning and elective choice of materials, such as the timber veneer and finishes created a contemporary environment. The kitchen is extremely high tech with an innovative and geometrical design, however the use of various species of timber, integration of materials and structural architectural elements creates a warm visual effect”.

Congratulating Minosa on such an outstanding achievement, HIA’s NSW Executive Director, David Bare, said the awards were a tremendous display of the housing industry’s capacity, innovation and resilience in tough times.

“It is encouraging to see that in challenging market conditions HIA’s builders and designers have maintained their commitment to excellence. The high standard of entries shows that support for these awards has yet again been remarkable. Each year the bar is raised higher making the judging process all the more difficult.”

“Major winners tonight can look forward to progressing to HIA’s national awards next year and we wish them every success.”

The awards were held in front of a sell-out audience at the Sydney Convention Centre. Special guests included Minister for Fair Trading the Hon Anthony Roberts; Andrew Darley, State Manager NSW/ACT, CSR Bradford Group and HIA’s NSW President, David Linaker.

This year’s theme was ‘Disco Inferno’. The MC for the evening was the well-loved Australian singer, actress, and TV personality, Marcia Hines. After the awards presentation, Marcia then entertained guests with many hits from the years of disco.The Association’s showcase awards night recognise excellence in housing innovation, material selection, design, construction and services to the NSW residential building industry.
